Cat is having problems with giving birth?

The cat that I have went into labor 26 hours ago. I'm certain she needs vet care but I can't afford it. This is a stray cat I took in recently, and my dad just won't let me take her to a vet because it would cost way too much. She's got a yellowish fluid coming out, ambiotic fluid from what a friend's mother said (My friend Emily's mom is a vet but she doesn't live where I do). I believe on of the kittens is dead, if not all of them. I've basically been told by Emily's mom that my cat is going to die. She said to put a cold washcloth on the cat's stomach to help though. I don't know what I can do, and I am not allowed to do anything to help her because of how much it costs. We live in a place where the nearest vet's office is in another town. My family just doesn't even have money for our rent, none the less a C-section for a cat that showed up in our house one day that we decided to let stay. Is there anything that I can do beyond that to help? I know its horrid that I can't take her to a vet but I really just can't. There's no way that dad would let me. Right now I'm begging for him to let us have her put down at least because I don't want her suffering when she doesn't have to be. He won't do that either.
