How to get rid of my inflamed acne?

I know this question has been asked a lot. But I woke up on monday with a zit on the side of my nose and right under my nose. I didn't touch it all day and I washed my twice on Monday. I woke up yesterday and today and it is very swollen. I put some a hot washcloth on it because I read that helps. I put some ice on it as well. I don't know why it's swollen because I haven't touched it. But does anyone know how to make to swelling go down and the zits to be gone? I graduate from college on Saturday and don't want to have a swollen face.
