Teen planned to go on pill but now possibly pregnant?

I am sixteen and I have been through this. They WILL NOT tell your mother anything if you do not want them to. It is confidential. You should still get the STD tests done just to be positive. AND, for you to be on birth control they do have to give you a PAP SMEAR. they don't give it to you right away. they give it to you like a month or so after you start birth control if you go on the pill. the pap smears are not that bad so i would go ahead and let the do one if i was you. they are a little embarrassing however. just mention to the doctor that you may been pregnant. and they will give you a pregnancy test and you will get the results right away. they will have you pee in a cup. however, if it is too soon to tell and it has been less than 72 hours, ask them about plan b one step. if you go to a teen health clinic they will give it to you free. You should be worried because pregnancy can happen at anytime just don't stress it too much until you get a test done (:
