Americans: Do you think that using the washcloth with the soap bar or body wash is UN..necessary?

I ask this because i think it is more hygenic to use a rough to medium rough washcloth..but now i see people on ads that don't do that! I am thinking eww..don't they know that the little valleys in their skin are not getting washed properly. Do you think that just your bare hand clean deep down in the little pores of your skin. They don't get to do that with just hands??/ What do you think..I think that when i shower and scrub with a wash cloth I feel cleaner and i can see the lines of my skin clearer!!!
