Body hot to the touch but freezing cold?

This morning my fiance woke up not feeling good and throwing up. He had to go to work for about two hours and was worse when he got home from work. Since he got home from work, he has been saying that he is freezing cold and when I touched his skin he is burning up. The house is not the warm or cold it is a comfortable temp. He is also still throwing up and not eating much. I have been letting him sleep all day and the only way to cool his skin is to wipe him down with a cold washcloth. What could be wrong with him? I have never seen him this sick before and he refuses to go to the doctor.
