Can I bathe my baby chicken?

OF COURSE not completely submerge it in the water but just enough to get them clean. They have dried food stuck all over them and i need to get it off. I was planning on filling the sick up about an inch deep w/ warm water then cleaning them with soap and a washcloth..is this okay?
