Bump on my dog side of his body?

My dog was growing to fast so he was in pain, well a vet gave him a shot for his growing to slow down, im not sure what. It's been a year now and my dog still have that big bump on him and i think it got bigger because it passes his hair now. I told the same vet how can i get rid of it he said get a warm wet washcloth and put pressure on it. That did not work, anyone happen to know how i can get that thing down, it don't bother him but im tired of answering that question, also no surgery of course maybe some home care? by the way went to 3 different vets and they weren't sure. thanks ahead of time
